Introducing Frankincense:
Known as the “King of Oils” for its variety of uses and benefits, Frankincense (Boswellia carterii) is a powerful essential oil. Some of the many uses of Frankincense include aromatherapy, perfumery, skincare, cosmetics and incense.
Frankincense is a resin produced from the Boswellia tree in Yemen, Oman and Somalia. Its aroma is woody, spicy, and fruity. It has anti-inflammatory and antibacterial properties, making it beneficial for skin healing and in minimizing scars.

Some History:
Traded in the Middle East for thousands of years, Frankincense had been used by ancient Babylonians in religious ceremonies and by Egyptians in mummification. Highly valued in ancient times, Frankincense was also largely responsible for establishing the incense route from South Arabia to the Mediterranean starting around the 7th century BC.
Why It’s King:
Frankincense provides respiratory support, headache relief, and emotional healing. The oil also quiets the mind, supports mental focus, and assists in chakra balancing. In addition, Frankincense is beneficial for soothing the skin, and helps to soften cuticles and promote shinier, healthier and stronger nails.
Sadly, Boswellia trees are now considered a Threatened Species, and Frankincense should only be obtained sustainably. At Naturally Groovy Oils, our suppliers utilize worldwide growers that sustainably produce the oils.
Frankincense is used in Naturally Groovy Oils Fab Hands Beauty Blend.
